Unity grown in
volcanic soil.
Manifesto
Rooted in Rwanda.
Brewed for the world.
Rwanda is small, mountainous, and famous for one thing above almost everything else — coffee. The same volcanic soil and high altitude that grow our flagship tea also grow some of the cleanest, sweetest washed Arabica in the world.
Ubumwe Coffee was founded to honor that heritage and to keep more of its value with the families who make it possible. We work directly with co-ops across the Western, Northern, and Southern provinces, paying premium prices for premium care.
Our mission is simple: to put Rwandan coffee on the world's finest counters — and to train the next generation of Rwandan baristas to stand behind any of them.

About the Founder
Bruno Maurice — craft, taught and poured.
Bruno Maurice is a professional barista and mixologist based in Qatar, with deep, hands-on experience across both specialty coffee and the craft of mixology. His career has taken him from origin farms in East Africa to high-volume specialty bars in Doha, where precision and hospitality meet at the counter.
Trained across multiple international barista programs, Bruno has spent years studying extraction, dialing in espresso, and building signature drink menus for hotels, restaurants, and private events. His mixology work bridges classic technique with the bold, fruit-forward profiles of African coffees.
He founded Ubumwe Coffee to bring his two worlds together — Rwanda's volcanic-grown beans and the global craft of the modern bar — and to pass that knowledge on to the next generation of Rwandan baristas.
